A truck full of soil came the other day, and dumped its load on two places in the garden. Straight into the new beds would have been better, but unfortunately not possible.
So here I am, moving earth.
Behind Villa Lotus there is a low wall, that we initially put up to prevent rocks and mud sliding out from the old stone wall and the terraced land above. All the time it´s been my intention to fill up with soil and put some nice plants down, turning this shady yard into a cool and pretty breakfast place for guests staying in the blue studio.
Last year I got as far as planting succulents on the top of the wall.

This is a job that feels like it will never end.
One bucket hardly shows. I don´t know how many buckets I have carried the past few days, but the only result is that my body is aching all over.
If I do 20 buckets a day, there´s hope that by spring and planting time the bed will be ready.
And I´ll have some arm muscles to show off.
Fortsetter du sånn så får du en rasende flott kropp før neste sommer!! (eller så har du blitt sengeliggende av alt det tunge arbeidet....)
